CLIMATE OUT
Leveraging our coalition for change.
The Initiative
Climate Out seeks to engage our partners in working beyond the boundaries of their individual organizations to drive collective, statewide climate progress. While many organizations across Hawai‘i are actively advancing climate-related efforts, they often encounter systemic barriers that slow or limit impact. Climate Hawai‘i is uniquely positioned to help overcome these challenges through our multi-sector network, influence, and collaborative approach. By creating space for aligned action, shared learning, and brave conversations, we aim to foster the conditions necessary for diverse climate initiatives to succeed. Climate Out is about scaling individual commitments into collective progress—helping partners contribute not only within, but across systems to accelerate Hawai‘i’s climate future.
“We can’t look to State government to eliminate the risks of natural disasters alone. On the contrary, most of the solutions are going to come from communities working together and from the many public- and private-sector organizations”
“Addressing climate change in Hawai‘i is not just about protecting the environment—it’s about safeguarding our communities, culture, and way of life. Hawai‘i is on the frontlines of the climate crisis, facing rising sea levels, more frequent and intense storms, and threats to our unique ecosystems and local food systems. By taking bold, collaborative action now, we can build a resilient, sustainable future that honors our state’s values.”
Connecting For Climate

Join The Conversation.
Those interested in being part of the conversation and contributing to Hawai‘i’s climate progress are encouraged to sign the Climate Pledge. By signing, organizations join a growing network committed to meaningful climate action, both internally and in collaboration with others. Pledge signatories are invited to participate in ongoing events—such as Brave Space Conversations, policy meetings, and brownbag sessions —that help align efforts, build capacity, and drive systems-level change. The pledge is a starting point for connection, shared learning, and impact.
